Architectural Mailboxes is now hiring an experienced Production Manager to oversee all production, safety, quality and maintenance activities and work with all supporting departments. What you'll do

  • Establish and monitor goals related to all aspects of the manufacturing area.
  • Ensure that Manufacturing personnel have the required resources to meet production goals.
  • Review schedules and materials planning to confirm that control processes are sufficient to provide necessary support. Provide feedback in to areas with opportunities for improvement.
  • Review quality reports and audits to ensure quality of products manufactured meets standards established.
  • Assist in developing and monitoring safety programs and procedures to provide a safe working environment for all employees. Monitor adherence to safety rules, guidelines, workplace assessment issues, and hazardous communication requirements.
  • Work with Production Control and Shipping to react to changes in demand requirements.
  • Oversee the accurate recording of numbers and of data associated with Steel Receiving, Manufacturing, and Material Issue departments. Ensure that data is properly available and properly distributed or entered to include the recording of receipts of materials, recording of labor, scrap, quality, and safety.
  • Identify and maintain standards for the control of materials utilized within identified processes. Co-ordinate and perform inventory control functions as defined necessary.
  • Define and control cost associated with Steel Receiving, Manufacturing, and Material Issue departments.
  • Work with support departments to ensure optimum operational standards and equipment are in place.
  • Provide continuous training to staff personnel as processes and job responsibilities are revised. Work to develop staff personnel skills.
  • Oversee issues related to personnel within all levels of the departments.
  • Identify indirect labor requirements associated with departmental assignments

What we need

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • 5+ years of Manufacturing Experience
  • 2+ years Engineering preferred
  • Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel, MS Word in particular)
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
  • Attention to detail and problem solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
  • Ability to prioritize and switch directions quickly and effectively
